Mike Gravel got some attention from TechCrunch, a talk show that is interviewing many candidates with regard to technology policy in the upcoming election. Because Gravel is such a minor candidate, he was able to show off some of his other policy points (besides honesty and his filibuster a couple decades ago...). Gravel proclaimed himself to favor Net Neutrality, alternative energy science - he even is the only candidate to explicitly state he is in favor of a carbon-emissions tax. In fact, the interviewer was enamored with Gravel's open personality, and answers that actually answered the questions posed to him.
Mike Gravel held the Mike Gravel Rally for Freedom - he still touts his anti-Hillary persona, and is urging you to "stop letting mainstream media influence you." The 'party,' held in Los Angeles, is scheduled for Monday December 10th.
Also, with respect to a previous article referencing Gravel's "avante-garde campaign ads," the 77-year-old is actually attracting attention - including a 27-year-old millionaire Gregory Chase. Chase, along with many other internet users, found Gravel through his YouTube videos - and have since promised much-needed fiscal support for the Gravel movement. The scrappy politician gets attention for his honesty - often humorously blunt with attacks on the "gutless wonders" (the other Democratic candidates; namely, Hilary Clinton) - as well as for lauding praises about ending the draft in 1971 and 'unleashing' the Pentagon Papers.

Rock
Mike Gravel does not have very much attention. Three weeks ago, he released two "metaphoric" videos that were meant to "have a message to give about [his] campaign." Rock, the first video, starred Gravel tossing a rock into a pond. The camera focuses on a monk-like Gravel, silently staring down the camera, before he tosses a rock into a pond. Gravel hopes the video represents him as "an ordinary citizen who's trying to make a difference by doing something and [this] causes ripples in society." Because this is the senator's primary focus in his campaign, the attention he is receiving from MSNBC and Jon Stewart is exactly what the campaigner is looking for.
The YouTube videos are largely a response to the Democratic Pary, as well as mainstream media's, marginalization of the Alaskan senator. Gravel's exclusion from the debates results in the senator resorting to YouTube videos to reach his voters. As a response to this, Gravel's campaign focues has recentered on voters under 30.

Mike Gravel Update
After being excluded once again from the democratic debate in Las Vegas, Mike Gravel used streamline TV to comment and answer the questions posed to the other candidates. Gravel blamed his exclusion on "corporate censorship," and claimed that he was at an equal level in the polls with Richardson, Dodd, Biden and the other "lower tier" candidates. Furthermore, Gravel remained optimistic about his position in the election, claiming " maybe the American people are fed up with being led around by the nose by the American media that is controlled by five major corporations...maybe they'll vote for me in protest."
Despite his odds, Gravel is not giving up any time soon!
